LuxLive Digital Kicker UV-C Conference 2020

LuxLive is the UK lighting industry’s largest annual event, taking place in November each year. This year’s central theme is ‘Health and Wellbeing’, and in light of the on-going coronavirus pandemic, 2020 sees the addition of a bonus digital event in September.

The LuxLive Digital Kicker UVC Conference takes a deep dive into how the use of UV-C lighting can be effective in helping building managers meet new safety and wellbeing challenges.

UV-C light is a short-wavelength, ultraviolet light that breaks apart germ DNA, and artificially produced UVC has become a staple method of sterilisation used in hospitals, aeroplanes, offices, and factories every day.

Experts across the lighting industry have identified UV-C lighting as a key player in treating Covid-19 and part of your back-to-work strategy. But the conversation has also raised important questions around its safety and practicality.

The LuxLive UV-C Digital Conference brings together experts from across the industry to explore the technology, opportunities and challenges to creating a healthier and safer workplace.

Among the many talks on offer are:

• Traditional mercury lamps or LEDs?  - which looks at the latest improvements in UV-C LEDs

• UV-C – Where does it work?  - which showcases the use case applications for UV-C lighting in different working environments including the office, industry, healthcare, hospitality and public space
